I recorded "Shackles" from 2004 to 2005 in my Manhattan apartment recording studio.  I used Cubase and a Sony desktop computer.  The tracks are mostly original compositions -- some written for solo acoustic guitar, and others composed for electric guitar with drum, bass, and keyboard accompanyment.

"Bobby Perfect's music is PERFECT (no pun intended) for smooth jazz radio formats.  He is really a blues artist but there's a jazz feel to his music.  This jazz/blues fusion is quite compelling.  His "New York City" piece could well be that rare occasion where an instrumental actually becomes a pop hit."

—— Michael McHugh / New Century Buzz
"Bobby Perfect's CD 'Shackles' touched on different styles of music.  At times, I could hear the guitar blues of Muddy Waters, the Jazz sounds of Al Di Meola, the porch beats of the 1950's street groups and the progressive sound of the 1960's &70's!  Bobby has a great command of his acoustic electric guitar style, along with knowledge in the use of electronics and creative overdubbing.  His mixes blend in perfectly with each song he plays!"

—— Michele Ramo / Guitarist-Violinist & Composer
"...After the first time listening I thought, this can't be possible, it can't be this good.  But more times listening showed that it only got better.  What Perfect brings here is just phenomenal.  The enthusiasm and the drive flow, no, flood of it.  Everything is right, from solo acoustic guitar to electric fusion of blues, jazz and rock.”
